Palace Chemicals receives”welcome break” at TTA Awards

Palace Chemicals is celebrating after its involvement in a Welcome Break services in Nottinghamshire was highly commended in this year’s TTA Awards.

The Liverpool-based manufacturer of tile adhesives, grouts, building chemicals, wood treatments and decorating sundries, received the special commendation alongside Balderton Tile in the Best Large Commercial Project category.

Palace’s products were the first choice for tiling contractor Balderton Tile, which needed to ensure its installation could withstand the constant footfall from thousands of motorists at the new Welcome Break services in Fernwood, just off the A1 to the south of Newark, Nottinghamshire.

Matt Ingram, showroom manager for Balderton Tile, said: “This is fantastic. It’s always great to have your work praised by your peers.

“It’s extremely gratifying to know that your work is judged so highly. We were very pleased to have won this on the back of our quality craftsmanship.”

Matt was impressed with the look of the end-result, though admitted it was not a standard request in large commercial projects like this.

Steve Ball, Palace Chemicals’ commercial director, said: “We’re so excited to have been highly commended in this year’s TTA Awards. The whole team, from start to finish, deserves this for a job well done.”
