Banks & Lloyd (Shipping)“stepping into the future”

Daria Banks steps up as managing director to lead the company into a “bright future” following its move into a new office last year.

UK freight forwarder Banks & Lloyd is stepping into the challenges the future presents for logistics with a renewed energy following a change of leadership, the company says. Daria Banks (pictured) the company’s new managing director, along with fellow directors Mark Rahman, sales director and Philip Lucas, business compliance director have 50 years of combined experience in freight forwarding and a joint unshakable determination to push the business forward.

A focus on IT developments is at the forefront, with Banks stating: “A good, robust IT system is one of the vital backbones of any business, and we are not ones to rest on comfortable complacencies. We introduced an entirely new office and way of working that supported being remote when required to allow our staff to remain as flexible as possible in supporting our customers. We are in the process of developing new systems and tools that will further support our staff in delivering the best service they can and allow them to remain entirely focused on what we are known for across the market, an unparalleled freight forwarding customer experience! I feel proud that in this process we have become an almost paperless office, and we are committed in supporting the tile industry in achieving a greener sustainable future following us joining and offering our expertise on all things logistics within the TTA Sustainability Working Group.”
