Introducing the latest Master Tile Fixers

The Tile Association’s Master Tile Fixer certification scheme was introduced to support TTA’s vision to “raise tile and tiling standards and enhance installation expertise and craftsmanship”. The scheme will certify highly experienced and skilled independent tile fixers with the aim of promoting best practice and encouraging existing tiling professionals to strive for excellence.
Congratulations to our latest Master Tile Fixers:

David Westwood of Westwoods Tiling
David Westwood has progressed his tiling career from strength to strength. In 2022, he obtained 3 TTA Technical Masterclass certificates and attended numerous training sessions. This year, Westwood won TTA’s 2023 Tile Fixer of the Year.

Westwoods Tiling are a team of experienced and reliable tilers. They cater for all wall and floor tiling requirements and serve both domestic and commercial customers. Westwoods Tiling also undertake bespoke projects, Victorian and geometric tiling, restoration of Victorian tiles, large format panels, kitchens, bathrooms, wetrooms, feature walls and fireplace tiling projects

Ross Mabbott of Cedar Ceramics Tiling
Ross Mabbott is a professionally trained, domestic and commercial wall and floor tiling specialist with over 15 years in the trade. Mabbott specialises in all areas of natural stone work and Victorian tiling.
Cedar Ceramics Tiling are a small established wall and floor tiling company based in Dunstable. Cedar Ceramics Tiling supply and fix all aspects of tiling to conservatories, kitchens, halls, bathrooms, showers and utilities including ceramic, porcelain, travertine, granite, marble, stone and mosaic or fix only tiles supplied by the customer.

If you are a tile fixer, why don’t you apply to become a TTA Master Tile Fixer? To gain certification, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • You are an existing TTA Independent Tile Fixer member
  • Your primary role is a tiler
  • You will need to successfully complete an online skills and knowledge test
  • You will be audited by a member of TTA Training Committee along with 2 customer references from the past 12 months

Following successful application, members will be reviewed annually and will need to complete a 3-yearly refresher course based around technical and training questions.
Membership rates for TTA Master Tile Fixers will remain at the Independent Tile Fixer rate for the first year, increasing thereafter.
