RUBI, a manufacturer of tile cutting and installation tools, has launched its latest products for cutting and laying tiles.
In collaboration with Weber, RUBI has announced the Tech-Flex Trowel. The two brands have joined forces for the development of what they describe as a “disruptive solution, focused on improving the professional’s day-to-day life, and which represents a paradigm shift in adhesive application”.
The tool is designed to optimise adhesive distribution and enhance ergonomic comfort for tilers. Designed to be used with Flexible adhesives from Weber, this trowel boasts a 10% lighter weight compared to traditional steel notched trowels.
Crafted from high-durability materials such as polyurethane, the curved design is aimed to facilitate adhesive retention and promote even spreading across surfaces. This means less product is wasted, RUBI says, and an even application, saving money and time with each use.
Meeting industry demands
The lightweight construction of the Tech-Flex trowel is designed to reduce fatigue during extended use. Its composition promotes resistance to wear, corrosion, and rust, while also being easy to clean and maintain. The notched trowel is designed to be used with lightweight Gel-Flex adhesives but is said to offer equal performance with any adhesive available on the market, whether standard or fast-setting.

Finally, the trowel is said to reduce noise generated during use by up to 37% compared to traditional metal trowels.
