Domus adds sustainability filters to web search

Domus has added a set of filters to the search bar on its website allowing users to “instantly identify products with recycled content, EPDs & ISO 14001 certification”. The filters are designed to help customers source the most responsibly produced tiles for their application.

Customers can use the functionality to find products containing recycled content and those supported with EPDs and ISO 14001 certification, making it quicker and easier to source hard surface materials with sustainable qualities.

Products can be filtered at the thresholds of +25% recycled content and +40% recycled content, as well as whether they possess an Environmental Product Declaration or ISO 14001 certification.

Understanding a product’s lifecycle and its environmental impacts, from raw material to manufacturing, transportation to installation, in-use to disposal, and waste to recycling, is critical to addressing the sustainability of any material, product or system, the company says.

Identifying a product’s sustainability credentials can help specifiers make sustainability-led design choices. Reviewing Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), ISO 14001, and recycled content certificates enable architects and designers evaluate their designs’ environmental impact.
