Tile edging has long been central to a beautifully finished installation, and Genesis has spent decades refining its expertise in this specialist area. With a heritage deeply rooted in tile edging profiles, the company has developed a thorough understanding of how products perform in real-world installations, what the market demands, and where design trends are heading next. This knowledge continues to drive innovation across the range, ensuring professionals have access to solutions that combine performance with style. A perfect example is the growth of Genesis’ stone-effect profile collection. Responding to the popularity of stone-textured tiles, the range now includes ten stone-inspired colours, allowing designers and installers to achieve a more seamless, coordinated finish than ever before.
Today, tile edging is about far more than protecting exposed tile edges. Profiles have become an important design tool, capable of framing tiled areas, introducing contrast, or delivering clean, minimalist detailing. With an extensive choice of colours, finishes and materials available, Genesis provides solutions to complement virtually any interior style, from understated contemporary spaces to bold statement designs.
In kitchens and bathrooms, where every detail contributes to the overall appearance of the room, profiles play an increasingly important role in creating a polished and professional finish. Matching trims to tapware, shower fittings or tile tones can create a cohesive look, while contrasting colours can be used to highlight features and add visual interest. The versatility of the range allows designers and installers to achieve both aesthetic and practical objectives without compromise.
As modern interiors continue to evolve, homeowners are also looking for integrated accessories that work seamlessly with their chosen tile scheme. Genesis has responded with a comprehensive collection of colour-matched shower shelves and niches, enabling designers to create fully coordinated spaces.
Bathroom niches have become one of the most desirable features in contemporary design. Offering practical recessed storage while maintaining clean lines, they eliminate the need for bulky baskets and cluttered shelving. Genesis niches are available in two sizes and twelve colours, with the option of integrated LED lighting for projects seeking an additional touch of luxury. Whether used to create a subtle storage solution within a shower enclosure or to establish a striking focal point on a feature wall, niches combine functionality with refined design.
The shower shelf range offers similar flexibility. Available in eight distinctive designs and up to thirteen colours, these shelves provide stylish and practical storage while complementing the wider profile collection. Rather than being treated as an afterthought, shower shelves can become an integral element of the room’s design, enhancing both usability and visual appeal.
What sets the range apart is its coordinated approach. Tile edging profiles, shower shelves and niches are all available as a colour-matched system, allowing designers to maintain consistency throughout a project. Repeating colours and finishes across multiple elements creates a sense of harmony and attention to detail, while the variety of profile styles available helps add character and individuality to a space.
For projects that demand something truly unique, Genesis also offers a bespoke customisation service. Through a wide range of RAL colours, anodic finishes and additional stone-effect options, customers can create completely personalised solutions tailored to their specific design requirements. Profiles and accessories can be selected to provide a bold contrast against the tile surface or developed as an almost exact colour match for a seamless appearance.
The bespoke process is supported by sample development throughout the journey, giving designers, architects and clients complete confidence before installation begins. This level of flexibility enables truly individual spaces to be created, ensuring the final result reflects both the design vision and the practical needs of the project.
As kitchens and bathrooms become increasingly design-led environments, the finer details matter more than ever. By combining decades of expertise in tile edging with a comprehensive range of colour-matched niches, shower shelves and bespoke options, Genesis provides the tools to create spaces that are not only functional, but also distinctive, cohesive and inspiring.
