Offering a coordinated solution for tile installations, the Mapei Color range brings together colour-matched profiles, grouts and silicone sealants to help create seamless surface finishes. The range now includes 25 Profilpas Cerfix Proangle L-shape profiles, colour-matched to Mapei Ultracolor Plus grouts and Mapesil AC silicone sealants, for precise surface colour matching. The three elements can be combined to achieve a subtle tone-on-tone finish or a contrasting effect across wall and floor tile installations.
Profilpas Cerfix Proangle L-profiles are manufactured to complement Ultracolor Plus cementitious grout, sharing the same product names and codes to simplify specification. They are also compatible with Mapesil AC pure acetic silicone sealants and other Mapei sealant options, including matt colours. The profiles can be used to close external corners of ceramic wall coverings, to join same-level floor coverings and to finish and protect the edges of steps, platforms and worktops. They also protect tile corners and eliminate the need for 45° corner cuts, giving a neat, durable finish. The profile range is available in 8, 10, 11 and 12.5 mm sizes, all at 2.7m in length. Special pieces are also available for outside and inside corners and end caps.
Ultracolor Plus grout provides a coordinated finish, while combining fast setting and drying properties with abrasion resistance, high colour stability and very low water absorption. It also features anti-efflorescence, water-repellent DropEffect and mould-resistant BioBlock technology. Meanwhile, Mapesil AC is a highly flexible, mould-resistant sealant that also benefits from BioBlock technology and is suitable for movements up to 25%. Both Ultracolor Plus grout and Mapesil AC sealant also feature very low VOC EMICODE: EC1 Plus-certified formulations for a safe installation environment, with CO₂ fully offset across the entire lifecycle.
Meanwhile, Mapei’s UltraCare range provides complementary cleaning, protection and maintenance solutions for all types of tile and stone.
