Mapei’s range of installation products includes adhesives for all types of floor and tile installation. The series spans cement-based, ready-mixed, water dispersion-based, hydraulic setting and reaction resin adhesives, each combining performance with installation, safety and eco benefits, the manufacturer says.
For resilient flooring applications, the company’s products include Ultrabond ECO 4 LVT – a ready-to-use fibre-reinforced LVT adhesive with very low VOCs. Said to be characterised by its fast, strong initial grab and rapid set, the adhesive is shear-resistant and has a hard set, wet-bed, high temperature dispersion formulation. It’s designed for the installation of LVT tiles and planks onto level, absorbent substrates and can be used with underfloor heating.
Enhanced by the addition of fibres, the adhesive is suitable for heavy wear residential, commercial and industrial use, including office, retail and health care environments. Along with its installer benefits, it reportedly provides very good dimensional stability and peel strength, prevents open joints and is non-flammable. Floors are set to light foot traffic within three to five hours and ready for use between 24-48 hours.
Ultrabond ECO 4 LVT has EMICODE : EC1 Plus and Blauer Engle DE-UZ 113 certification and can be exposed to castor wheels in accordance with EN 12529.
