Mapei’s Zero Line now includes full installation systems for tiles and stone with CO2 fully offset across the entire life cycle. Core fix-and-finish solutions include Keraflex Extra S1 Zero, Ultracolor Plus and Mapesil AC Zero which are suitable for all tile types, including large-format designs. All three products also feature a very low VOC EC1 Plus-certified formulation.
Said to be suitable for all tile types, Keraflex Extra S1 Zero is described as a highly versatile adhesive suitable for internal and external walls and floors. The formulation provides many benefits to the installer, including no vertical slip, high wetting capacity and an extended open time of approximately 30 minutes. It can be used either in a fluid consistency for large tiles, or as a thixotropic paste on walls and facades. It’s also suitable for areas that are constantly immersed such as swimming pools.
Mapei’s signature cementitious grout, Ultracolor Plus, is a rapid-setting, anti-efflorescence formulation that can be used for joints up to 20 mm in width. Water-repellent DropEffect and mould-resistant BioBlock make the formulation suitable for wet areas, whilst its anti-efflorescence properties ensure a uniform finish. Ultracolor Plus is available in 40 colours.
Pure acetic silicone sealant, Mapesil AC Zero, completes the trio. Packaged in a recyclable cartridge, the sealant creates a flexible, waterproof and mould-resistant seal between glass, ceramic and anodised aluminium. It’s resistant to high temperatures, impermeable to water and gases, and accommodates movement of up to 25%. Also available in 40 shades, it can be colour-matched to Ultracolor Plus.
