Mapei’s decorative epoxy grout range – Kerapoxy Easy Design – combines a host of practical and safety features, the company says, giving it an even wider design scope.
Formulated to fill grout joints between 1-15mm wide, the two-component epoxy grout is said to be very low VOC, acid-resistant and non-absorbent, as well as anti-bacterial and mould-resistant.
It’s suitable for both residential and commercial settings, including leisure and food service environments, where it reportedly provides easy application, easy cleaning, a smooth finish and colour stability.
As well as being offered in 41 individual shades, the range includes a neutral, translucent formulation. This can be combined with Mapeglitter, which is available in 23 glitter colours, or Mapecolor Metallic – a collection of five pearlescent powdered mica pigments used to create metallic-effects – enabling what the manufacturer describes as an infinite array of colour combinations and light effects. Kerapoxy Easy Design can also be colour-matched with Mapesil AC sealant.
The company’s epoxy grouts – Kerapoxy Easy Design, Kerapoxy CQ and Kerapoxy – as well as its Ultracolor Plus cementitious grout, are supported by the Mapei Grout App, which uses a tile image to simulate grout options and presents the best colour partners. It also calculates the quantity of grout needed and identifies the most suitable formulation. The app is available for both Android and iOS.
