Not all grout is created equal

Grout is around 5% of the cost of a tiling project but can cause 95% of the project complaints and headaches.

Why take the risk of using an inferior grout?
When choosing a grout, we must ask ourselves: Is the risk of using an inferior grout worth it? Do we really want to see the installer again in a few months to regrout the bathroom because the grout is not the original colour we thought it would be?

Why take the risk of using an inferior grout when a fabulous grout like LATICRETE® SPECTRALOCK® PRO PREMIUM can be used right from very start!

From the original innovators of epoxy grout, LATICRETE SPECTRALOCK® PRO PREMIUM was designed with both the installer and the homeowner in mind.

The three-part system means that the mixing process is extremely easy with the installer fully in control of the process. The owner of the bathroom benefits from years of problem free grout. It is really as simple as 1, 2, 3!

The product could not be easier to use. The parts A+B are the resin and hardener, and they are mixed first in the supplied bucket. Then by adding part C, which is the amazing-coloured quartz sand, the product quickly takes shape.

For a floor application, and to make the grout a little more fluid, 5% of the quartz can be left out of the A+B mix with no loss of consistency in the colour.

This means the grout is extremely easy to work within the grouts joints and the resin can be easily cleaned off the tile with cold clean water. Any joining wall can have the coloured quartz sand added at 100% with no difference in the colour consistency between the two substrates, and the grout will not sag in the wall joints.

This system makes this product extremely easy to work with, and any installer who has struggled with mixing a 2-part epoxy grout will know the time and effort it takes to get the grout ready for application, especially in intemperate conditions.

The most important part of this product is the resistance to mold and colour consistency for the entire life of the bathroom or kitchen.

How frustrating and disappointing it is to invest in a new bathroom or kitchen, only for the grout to start to change colour because of bacteria affecting the surface of the grout.

Soap, skin, unseen airborne bacteria, mold and even cleaning the grout with dirty cleaning cloths will all affect a normal cement-based grout.

In fact, the extra cost of using LATICRETE SPECTRALOCK® PRO PREMIUM when compared with the average fifteen-year lifespan of a domestic kitchen and bathroom is actually only a few pounds per year. It is definitely an investment worth taking.

The product is available in the UK in 52 popular colours, and this product will accommodate most project colour requirements. If you want to make your epoxy grout sparkle, then we have over 250 options. In fact, there is a special fluorescent ‘glow-in-the-dark’ DAZZLE™ colour which not only looks amazing in a night club but can also be used when specifying tiles in an emergency stairwell if the electricity has failed.

This grout meets the requirements of ISO 13007-3 RG and EN13888 and is also environmentally friendly.

London tile installer Ken Hudson, from Hud’s Tiling Services added “Our ‘go-to’ epoxy grout every time is LATICRETE SPECTRALOCK®. Easy to apply and washes off without leaving any sticky residue. We would seriously recommend it”.

LATICRETE SPECTRALOCK® PRO PREMIUM grout is one of the most popular epoxy grouts in the world and now available nationwide in the UK.
