Tilemaster Adhesives, the UK subsidiary of the Kerakoll Group, has gained ISO 90001 certification. This achievement “demonstrates and underlines the company’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction,” it says.
The standard is designed to help companies ensure that their customers get consistent, good-quality products and services. It’s based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement.
To achieve certification, Tilemaster Adhesives reportedly overhauled all of its processes and procedures and introduced a updated quality management system. SGS, one of the world’s largest testing, inspection, and certification companies, then carried out an audit. During the five-day process, the team from SGS examined the company’s processes, interviewed staff to compare the documented procedures with the actual way of working, and monitored some of the activities being carried out.
This certification is said to be part of an ongoing process of integration into the Kerakoll Group which was started when Tilemaster Adhesives was purchased in 2017. The ISO 9001 project which took just under two years to complete does not stop with certification, as the quality management system is designed to ensure that a focus on quality and continuous improvement remains at the heart of the company’s activities.
