This past May once again saw the architectural and design community descend upon London’s Clerkenwell district for the annual Clerkenwell Design Week event. Taking place between 19-21 May, this year’s CDW was the show’s 15th anniversary, and it seems the district’s tile showrooms pulled out all of the stops for the occasion.
Solus, for example, hosted Lakwena Maciver’s first major mosaic installation featuring bold, affirmative visual language rendered in Solus’ Sidequest range. The work was created in close collaboration with Italian mosaic specialists TREND Group. According to Solus, each partner brought their unique specialties to the project.
The Florim showroom, on the other hand, debuted a newly conceived window display with a completely redesigned installation. The space now showcases collections created in collaboration with leading international designers: Formatech, developed with Gensler; Rinascenza, by Nicola Gallizia; and SensiColore, designed by Matteo Thun & Partners.
