The Surface Design Show has officially announced the programme for its main stage in 2023.
The stage, designed by Emily Skinner of Smile Plastics, will host over 40 speakers across 18 different presentations. “Shaping Communities” is the show’s theme for 2023, which organisers call “an important topic that we aim to address through a number of discussions with industry professionals”.
The main stage programme will encompass several events, including an opening night debate on the topic of “Design Solutions for Place and Sustainable Living” with a panel that includes the CEO of Human Nature and the director of Periscope. The following two days of SDS will showcase multiple talks, interviews and presentations across a wide variety of subjects. Mathew Freeman from BIID will present on “Designing with Culture in Mind,” while Hannah Malein, Creative Director at Colour Hive and Head of Trends for MIX Magazine Colour Hive, will present a forecast for colours, materials and finishes in 2024.
The Surface Design Show will take place between 7-9 February, 2023, at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London.
