Italcer acquires large slabs producer Fondovalle

Italcer Group, an Italian manufacturer in the ceramic tiles and bathroom furniture sector, has completed its acquisition of Ceramica Fondovalle, a company which specialises in the production of large slabs, and has been operating in the Sassuolo district of Northern Italy for over 50 years.

Fondovalle will be the seventh acquisition carried out by Italcer, following the previous purchases of La Fabbrica, Elios, Devon & Devon, Rondine, Cedir and Equipe Ceramicas. The large slab manufacturer is reportedly projected to close 2022 with approximately €50m (£43m) in turnover.

The acquisition of Fondovalle is aimed to bolster Italcer’s product offering, which will now include a wide range of products from small tiles to large slabs. The group is reportedly projected to reach a turnover of €370m in 2022.
