Grupo Pamesa acquires a large-format parts factory in Alcora

Pamesa Grupo Empresarial, a leading European ceramic producer, has acquired Best Surface, previously owned by the Laminam group. The signing took place at the group’s headquarters.
Best Surface, which will be renamed Ascale, is a factory located in the town of Alcora that specialises in the manufacture of large-format pieces.

With this acquisition, Pamesa will reportedly increase its annual production capacity by 1,500,000sqm, incorporating a factory that can produce in thicknesses from 6-20mm, which will be mainly dedicated to the production of sizes 120×280mm and 160×320mm.

The slabs produced in this factory are said to offer important advantages over other alternative materials such as: lightness, impermeability, zero odour absorption and resistance to cuts, UV rays or high and low temperatures, among others.

The company said: “Ascale is the result of the application of the latest technology in large format plate combined with the more than 50 years of experience of the Pamesa Group. After seven years in the market, it has become one of the group’s strong bets due to its synergy between avant-garde, technology and functionality.

“In a sector where excellence is paramount, Ascale stands out as a pioneer by masterfully fusing technological innovation and sophisticated design, thanks to which it has earned an important niche in an industry as demanding as the world of natural stone.”
