Weber recently welcomed a class of MSc students to Flitwick to learn about supply chain management and research & development processes in a manufacturing environment.
Dr. Lakshmi Narasimhan Chari, professor at Royal Holloway University of London approached Weber about a potential visit. Dr. Chari reportedly was looking for a manufacturing company with a strong worldwide presence where product development and innovation were of key importance.
Dr. Chari collaborated with Stewart Nicholas, operations director at Weber to arrange the visit which offered a full itinerary across the operation and development departments at Flitwick.
The students were introduced to Saint-Gobain and its 350+ year history as well as the company’s “purpose and aspirations to make the world a better home”.
