Cevisama given almost top marks

According to exhibitor survey data, Cevisama has come close to being given a top rating. A survey of 50 of the 436 direct exhibitors (representing more than 500 brands) that took part in the 2023 edition of the fair gave the ceramic tile, bathrooms and natural stone event a score of 8.9 out of 10.

The exhibitors rated their experience of the event at Feria Valencia, and the score is based on both the number and the quality of the visits they received.

In fact, 86% of those surveyed claimed their presence at Cevisama generated a high or very high expectation that they would make sales, owing to the quality of the visitors they saw, which 87% of those surveyed rated as high or very high.

As far as the number of visitors they received, 74% responded that it was high or very high, while in terms of the quality of the foreign visitors, 78% of those surveyed felt it was high or very high.
Cevisama director Carmen Álvarez claimed the results of the survey confirm the sense of success that was palpable in the aisles at Feria Valencia all week. “Many of the exhibitors mentioned it during the week”, she said. “Now, the results of the survey show that these were not just personal opinions but, rather, a feeling that was shared by all exhibitors”.

Álvarez revealed the Cevisama team and Feria Valencia are already starting to work on the fair’s 2024 edition, “so we can continue to grow and be useful to the ceramic tile, bathroom and natural stone sectors”.

Álvarez also highlighted that the number coming from abroad was greater this year. According to Cevisama’s director, “At a time like this, it is more important than ever to reach international markets. And at this edition of the fair, the proportion of buyers attending from foreign markets rose from 22 to 25% of all buyers attending”.

In terms of overall figures, just prior to the end of the fair, the total number of visitors stood at 74,115, of whom 18,532 came from abroad. The figure for this last edition was 19.5% down on the last pre-pandemic edition of the fair, in line with other industry fairs. In Álvarez’s opinion, Cevisama’s visitor numbers are a positive sign, given that some restrictions on movement, the economic uncertainty, and the crisis on the demand side of the industry were pointing to a steeper drop in visitor numbers.
