The British Adhesives & Sealants Association (BASA) has announced the launch of a new awards scheme.
With a gala evening celebration planned for November this year, the BASA Awards are open for entry now to all member companies.
BASA describes itself as the voice of the entire adhesives and sealants industry, set up in 1983 to represent and promote the sector, offering guidance, support services and networking opportunities for its members. However, the organisation says, it’s felt the one thing that’s been missing has been an awards programme, designed and developed specifically to recognise excellence and achievement within the adhesives and sealants industry.
“This is a very exciting moment for us, and for the sector as a whole,” says Lorna Williams, BASA Secretary. “Issues such as quality, training, health & safety and sustainability have been key concerns of BASA members for decades, and I believe it is a great step forward that we now have an awards programme which formally recognises achievement and excellence in these and a number of other areas.”
Entry is online. To enter visit the organisation’s website, where there are details and criteria for each category, as well as the online entry form. Entries will remain open until 29th July.
Sponsorship opportunities are available to support the awards and enquiries regarding sponsorship are welcome.
The event will be hosted by stand-up comedian Jimmy McGhie and promises to be a great celebration, showcasing the best that the adhesives and sealants industry has to offer, along with an enjoyable meal and memorable entertainment!
