VitrA showcases Resincrete and other recent ranges at CDW

During Clerkenwell Design Week, VitrA was delighted to welcome hundreds of architects, designers and specifiers to its flagship showroom, based in Farringdon.

Throughout Clerkenwell Design week, over 40 specifiers and product enthusiasts began their day at VitrA London, enjoying a breakfast reception before commencing on a Surface Spotlight tour led by industry expert Joe Simpson, from Diary of a Tile Addict.

Across the three day design-focused festival, visitors to VitrA London were invited to join various events at the showroom and explore the freshly updated displays, showcasing the company’s recently launched tile collections, including Resincrete, Ardesia Stone and ModePaper.

Resincrete is a 120x120mm tile collection (a new size for VitrA) with a wide colour range and an accent colour approach as well as light colour tones in calm resin. It also features a real marble flake effect which is said to be compatible with the company’s MarmoMix marble system. The collection has also won Red Dot and Wallpaper design awards.

According to the company: “Resincrete is designed to stimulate emotions in living spaces by using colours, which are the most powerful form of self-expression, and to draw forth bursts of creativity. The texture of concrete blends with resin in a myriad of colour and surface options in Resincrete, designed for urban living spaces at the intersection of nature’s colours with concrete, the basic element of modern urban architecture. Resincrete Tiles are designed using the powerful colours and oxides found in soil and nature, featuring surfaces that have epoxy-like casting, combining easily with the classical beauty of terrazzo and palladiano textures to create striking living spaces.”

Cementside, on the other hand, is described as a complete solution collection with a variety of sizes, colours and product types. It’s said to be suitable for all type of projects and usage.

Porcelain sizes available in the series are; 60x120mm, 80x80mm, 60x60mm, 30x60mm, 30x30mm, 20x20mm and 15x15mm. There is also a wall tile concept inside the series in 30x60mm size with two different relief decor alternatives. There are also complementary options including a plinth, tread and covebase as well as 5x5mm square and hexagon digital printed mosaic alternatives.

With the new generation soft R10B granule usage, the product still reaches expected anti slip values in R as well as PTV slip resistances while maintaining a soft touch.

The company says: “The Cementside Collection, enriched with monochrome structured grains, has a calm surface texture with a concrete look, adding a stylish and contemporary atmosphere to each living space.”

Finally, the company’s Ardesia Stone range is a modern interpretation of the natural material, in 60x120mm, 60x60mm and 30x60mm sizes. The product also features the soft R10B granules and with its geometric décor alternative in two colours – which are compatible with all colours in the series – the range works in the popular indoor-to-outdoor application.

Additionally, there are seven different face options for the series, creating an authentic Ardesia Stone effect. “Reflecting the swirls of colour and patterns as slate interacts with different minerals in its most natural form, the Ardesia Stone Collection twists the natural surface textures of the stone it is inspired by, to render an urban character,” VitrA concludes.
