ARDEX Group UK launches 10-year product warranty

ARDEX Group UK has launched a 10-year group product warranty for installations using the leading brands of the group within the UK & Ireland.

The warranty applies to products from a number of ARDEX Group UK brands including ARDEX, BAL, wedi, Gutjahr, Knopp, Loba and Wakol.

The group’s UK warranty provides Full System Protection on these products provided they are used in accordance with the relevant product datasheets and terms and conditions.

This is aimed to give contractors and fixers peace of mind that they can use various ARDEX Group branded products in combination on projects and have a warranty from only one company.

If a project includes tiling using BAL products, with Gutjahr uncoupling systems used on problematic floors and XPS board systems from wedi on the walls, with additional soft flooring in areas using ARDEX products, the entire project will be covered by the 10-year group warranty.

The warranty does not supersede any superior warranty or guarantee offered by ARDEX or the other brands directly for the product or products purchases, meaning for example that the BAL 25 Year-Guarantee still applies to BAL products.

While the warranty aims to offer fixers further confidence on-site, with only one company to deal with if there are any issues, the ARDEX Group also has a range of pre-installation support to ensure that projects will progress smoothly.

The company’s training and technical support team offers support, training and technical advice on site or over the phone.

The company has nine technical support managers covering the whole of the UK who have extensive knowledge and practical experience of the flooring and tiling industries.

One of the biggest dangers for tiling installations is the presence of moisture in the sub-floor – particularly with new screeds which haven’t yet cured.

The ARDEX Group’s team can perform on-site carbide bomb and hygrometer tests, explain the results and recommend when the screed will be fit for tiling, or recommend moisture control systems so tilers can get onto screeds quicker.

To support with a tiling specifications, the company also employs business development managers across the UK who work with contractors and specifiers who offer guidance through the design process – from RIBA-approved CPDs to advice on specification writing, on-site testing with the TSM team and more.

The ARDEX and BAL product ranges are also available as BIM Objects in the NBS National BIM Library, in both REVIT and IFC Formats. Specifiers and architects can also find product specs on NBS Plus allowing them to be embedded into relevant specification clauses.

Global projects are also supported with ARDEX Global Project Services who work with local ARDEX representatives in the project’s location and provide technical jobsite support and installer recommendations.
