Just over one month away, SPATEX 2023 is set to be the launchpad for the Swimming Teachers’ Association (STA) and British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) Swim to the Beat fund-raising campaign. On the Wednesday of the show, it will take place on the Aqua Warehouse Stand E2, with a team of swimmers demonstrating various swim strokes including synchronised and mermaid swimming. Aqua Warehouse is lending its, 12ft Vita XF2 model (featuring the ACS cover) while SPATEX is sponsoring the heating of the water. The campaign invites swim schools, clubs and leisure facilities to participate in fund raising for the month of February – Heart Month. Monies raised will fund vital research into heart and circulatory diseases.
SPATEX 2023 will also host a double seminar programme. The event organisers thank ISPE (Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers), RLSS (Royal Life Saving Society, IoS (Institute of Swimming), STA (Swimming Teachers’ Association, LCA (Legionella Control Association) and PWTAG (Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group). Described as the biggest social event for the pool and hot tub industry, the annual Gala evening is an event not to be missed. On Tuesday, January 31, during SPATEX, the BSPF hosts this “Oscar-esque” evening of dinner, drinks and live entertainment. The main attraction is the British Pool & Hot Tub Awards ceremony hosted by SPATA and BISHTA, bringing the UK’s wet leisure companies together in celebration.
