The Tile Association Awards is the biggest event in the tiling calendar and UltraTile is delighted to have been awarded Best Environmental Initiative and Excellence in Services & Supply at the 2023 ceremony, the company says.
UltraTile was delighted to have won the Best Environmental Initiative award at the 2022 Tile Association Awards and is extremely honoured to have been presented with this accolade for the second year in a row.
Jason Reid, UltraTile brand manager, said: “We work really hard to be as green as possible. Our solar farm, CNG lorries and recycled packaging are just a few of the changes we have made. I’ve always been proud of our environmental commitments, and it was fantastic to be recognised by the tiling industry too. That being said, we don’t just sit back and think, job done! We continue to invest time and resources to reduce our carbon footprint and are continuing our journey to becoming a Net Zero business.”
While green manufacturing remains a top priority for UltraTile, it says, providing its customers with world-class products and services will always be incredibly important to the company.
2022 was a tough year for the tiling industry. Increasing petrol prices, rising cost of raw materials and labour shortages made trading in the last 12 months difficult to say the least. Despite these challenges, 2022 was reportedly a record year for UltraTile, which broke its own benchmarks more than once.
Demand for the brand has been high throughout year, the company says, owing to its quality, reliable products, and personal service. It has “smashed” sales targets, secured independent and national accounts, and saw a record number of products delivered – all resulting in a customer satisfaction level of 97.5%.
“To be able to report that my team is delivering on sales and satisfaction means my job is done! Seriously, these are the performance indicators that I monitor the most and to achieve these stats in a turbulent marketplace is an exceptional feat. I am very proud and wish to express my thanks to our loyal customer base and those new to our UltraTile family,” Reid continued.
These industry accolades are a fantastic achievement for UltraTile but the company says its job isn’t yet done. UltraTile “remains committed to providing the tiling industry with world-class products and services” and so, to further improve its offering, 2023 saw work begin on a £7m adhesive production line – an investment aimed to increase manufacturing efficiencies and significantly improve product lead times.
