Inspired by the artisanal richness of zellige, Decocer says its latest collection brings “the beauty of imperfect surfaces into contemporary architecture through deep glazes, shifting reflections and a carefully curated colour palette designed to interact with light”. The collection is said to recapture the authenticity and expressiveness of traditional ceramics through a contemporary lens.
The TALYA range draws on a craft heritage that forms part of the Mediterranean ceramic imagination, reinterpreting it through a modern design style in which light, colour and materiality are prioritised.
Available in 5x15cm and 10x10cm formats, the combination of shapes, colours and laying patterns is aimed to allow the creation of surfaces with rhythm, depth and a strong visual identity.
One of TALYA’s most distinctive features is the depth of its glossy glazes, says Decocer. Light is said to be reflected differently on each tile, revealing nuances and reflections that evolve throughout the day. Rather than pursuing a perfectly uniform appearance, the collection features subtle variations, transforming every surface into something dynamic.
The collection is suitable for both residential and hospitality projects, as well as contract applications. Its ability to combine formats, colours and laying patterns opens up new creative possibilities for architects and interior designers, says Decocer, enabling everything from calm, understated surfaces to more expressive and decorative compositions.
