Ceramique Internationale unveils additional support for specification market

Tile importer and distributor Ceramique Internationale has announced measures to provide bespoke support for designers, specifiers and architects.

The company, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year, has launched a dedicated website for the specification market to reflect its growing portfolio of high-end commercial projects and to provide clients with access to a wider range of collections and products.

Working with hospitality, automobile, construction and commercial businesses on projects across the UK, Ceramique Internationale owners and directors, Peter Vann and Cameron Fraser, realised an online showcase for their commercial products and projects was required, rather than relying on the existing consumer-facing retail website.

Fraser said: “Since the business began in Bradford in the 1970s we have had premises and showrooms on the Kings Road in London, in Leeds, Singapore, and Northern Ireland. The business has evolved in the last 30 years or so to focus on our Leeds showroom and warehouse, with the commercial side of the business being looked after by our long-serving and highly experienced sales team.

“Our retail website suits the consumer – and the transactional side came into its own during the pandemic. But our growing reputation in the specification market – where we supply huge national and international brands and businesses via our customer network of designers, architects and specifiers – brought us to the conclusion that we needed to create a bespoke website to communicate the breadth of tile collections and products we offer and make it easier for them to navigate in a way that suits them.

“The new site has a much more commercial feel to it and offers extra information and advice – such as anti-slip ratings, technical information and production techniques. In addition, whereas our retail site only features stock products, the new site will showcase other ranges that can be obtained by special order and the ability to download brochures from the best tile manufacturers in Europe.
“We have also included details on some of our many projects so customers can see what we can deliver across a wide range of sectors and by working with our specification sales team.”

The new website was designed and created by Leeds-based Elevate Online.
