LTP has introduced a new PFAS-free Blackstone Sealer & Restorer. Developed to restore and protect faded outdoor pavers, LTP Blackstone now joins the company’s Porcelain Tile Enhancer, which also features a formulation that’s free from forever chemicals.
Developed for limestone, marble, slate, concrete and artificial stone surfaces, LTP Blackstone is a water-based treatment that contains what the company calls a permanent colour-intensifying pigment. It’s designed to be applied in multiple coats until the desired colour effect is achieved – from dark grey to ebony – to restore the appearance to pavers faded by UV rays, humidity and rainwater, and to protect them from the elements going forward. To maintain a very dark, pristine finish, LTP recommends annual treatment with Blackstone, although the company says a treated stone will maintain a far darker aesthetic than an untreated stone for around four to five years.
Launched last spring – and also a water-based treatment – LTP Porcelain Tile Enhancer is a self-shine solution that gives tiles a “just washed look”. It also reportedly provides practical benefits, being highly resistant to foot traffic, general wear and stains, and promoting easier maintenance. Like LTP Blackstone, the company says, the treatment is UV-resistant and while glossy in nature, causes minimal change to a tile’s slip-resistance properties.
The two treatments form part of a range of water-based protectors which includes LTP Paving & Masonry Sealer, LTP External Stone Sealer, LTP Mattstone H2O and Colour Intensifier & Stainblock H2O and LTP MPG H2O – specifically formulated for polished marble, porcelain and granite. The range also includes barrier treatment, LTP Porcelain Tile Protector which protects textured matt tiles from grout and jointing compound during installation and promotes easier maintenance.
LTP protectors are offered alongside a range of maintenance products for the routine, deep cleaning and renovation of all types of engineered stone and natural stone surfaces. The range also includes solutions to treat specific issues, including blackspot and algae, rust stains – caused by metal objects and due to iron breakout, epoxy resin, cement, grout, salt and limescale residue, oxidised linseed oil, congealed fat, wax, paint and mould. All products are manufactured in the UK and are available from a network of over 700 stockists.
