Natural stone and surface technology showcased at Marmomac and TECNA

Throughout the end of September, both TECNA and Marmomac took place in Rimini and Verona, respectively.

Marmomac, a world fair dedicated to the stone production chain, took place between the 26th and 29th, while TECNA, an international exhibition of technologies and supplies for surfaces, organised by Italian Exhibition Group, ran from the 24th to the 27th. (Cersaie, which TSJ attended, ran between 25-29 September.)

According to TECNA’s organisers, it has become tradition for the three events to take place near-simultaneously, as although there is a large potential crossover in their audiences, the concurrent exhibitions lead to a large convergence of international buyers, which is beneficial for all three shows.
For the technology and supplies show, organisers say “the 2024 edition will reaffirm the show´s world leadership in terms of technology and innovation and will maintain and consolidate the new format introduced in 2022, which involves an increasingly select and inclusive range of offerings inspired by the slogan ´how to make it´. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover the latest technological solutions for the production of all kinds of surfaces and materials, from the most traditional to the most innovative.”

TECNA’s organisers continue: “Hybrid surface coverings, the use of surfaces in domestic and public spaces and the quest for integrated technical and aesthetic innovations are all aspects that will attract a growing number of companies from all over the world.”

Promoting the international stone show, Marmomac’s organisers ran a campaign designed to celebrate “the artistic heritage and technological advancements of the stone industry”.

“The 2023 Marmomac campaign aims to represent not only the connection between natural stone art and technology but also the entire natural stone industry that gathers at the event in Verona every year, in 2023 from the 26th to the 29th of September,” the organisers said.

“The chosen images of the reconstructed bust and fragment of Michelangelo’s David serve as a visual representation of this industry’s fusion of artistic heritage and technological advancements.”
Next month, TSJ will provide post-event updates on both Marmomac and TECNA.
