Iris Ceramica Group partners with the MIT Technology Review on
The Green Future Index 2022

Italy. Iris Ceramica Group announced that it has partnered with MIT Technology Review to publish The Green Future Index 2022, a prestigious project that aligns with the company’s commitment to building a more sustainable world.
MIT Technology Review is one of the most popular magazines in terms of innovation and technology at international level. It was founded in 1899 by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston, the top academic institution in the world.

The Green Future Index ranks 76 countries and territories based on their efforts to reduce carbon emissions, develop clean energy, and innovate in green sectors. Now at its second edition, the study measures the degree to which these economies are pivoting toward clean energy, industry, agriculture, and society through investment in renewables, innovation, and green finance.

The partnership with MIT Technology Review highlights Iris Ceramica Group’s commitment to making manufacturing more sustainable through research and development. The company is known for ecologically-innovative ceramic surfaces and has committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2050.

Federica Minozzi, CEO of Iris Ceramica Group, said: “We are proud to partner with MIT Technology Review on this world-class project. Since we first began producing high performance ceramic surfaces more than 60 years ago, environmental sustainability has been a key priority. We believe that ethics, technology and aesthetics must share the same path, mutually strengthening one another along the way. The epitome of our sustainability efforts has been constructing the world’s first ceramics factory designed to run on green hydrogen, which will be ready later this year.”

Nico Crepaldi, head of custom content at MIT Technology Review, said: “The Green Future Index has become the go-to resource for quality, country-level assessments of sustainability. For the second edition of our global green rankings, we’re particularly delighted to welcome leading manufacturer Iris Ceramica Group as our partner.”

By partnering in this remarkable study-research, Iris Ceramica Group confirms its dedication to taking action on a more sustainable future re-engineering ceramics and creating new standards in green tech manufacturing.
