Armatile announces €4m investment in Dublin showroom

Armatile, which describes itself as a “leading specialist in the design and manufacture of bespoke tile designs and finishes”, has officially opened its new showroom in Baldoyle, Dublin.
Over €4 million has been invested in the acquisition and fit-out of the purpose-built showroom in Baldoyle Industrial Estate, which was designed by award-winning designer Garry Cohn, and boasts a design library with an extensive array of tile samples.

Currently, the company employs almost 100 people across its existing retail showrooms in Armagh, Belfast and Newry, its bespoke tile manufacturing facilities in Armagh, a dedicated contracts team working on a range of commercial, restoration and retail fitout projects, and now, the Dublin showroom; with further job creation reportedly expected in the next 3 to 4 years.

“Having developed a reputation as one of the leading suppliers for architectural and interior design tiling solutions throughout Ireland and the UK,” the company says, “Armatile’s expansion to the Republic of Ireland, not only signifies the company’s commitment to growth, but also reflects its dedication to providing a tailored experience for both the residential and commercial markets, showcasing the latest in tile design excellence.”

Speaking at the official opening, Armatile founder and chairman, Seamus McCann explained: “Our new facility provides tangible evidence of our long-term confidence in the Irish marketplace. We have supplied Armatile products to many projects across the Republic of Ireland over the years; and a Dublin expansion has been in our plans for some time. We were simply waiting to find the right premises in the right location, allowing for easy access from across the country.

“Our vision was to make this new showroom amongst the best in Europe in terms of design and visitor experience, where customers will be taken on a journey through a myriad of different interior design and external landscaping options, from format tiles to authentic wood effect tiles, and landscape transforming porcelain paving.”
