Terratinta to present Stonebook collection at Cevisama

Terratinta, which describes itself as a young and upcoming Italian ceramic tile producer, will be present at Cevisama with several product launches. For the UK and Irish markets, the big attraction will be Stonebook, the company says.

The Stonebook collection is said to “explore the range of finishes currently produced in natural stone, tackling them one by one”. The outcome of this years’ long study is a sleek and contemporary range of three replicas, the company says, all produced on a dry-to-the-touch porcelain surface designed to faithfully replicate the handmade stone finish commonly referred to as cushion or pillow finish.

OffCut
Terratinta’s version of the pillow edge travertine, popular all over Europe, comes in 60x90mm in three colours: Travertine’s natural colour as well as two other modern shades. The grey version is a mix of grey and silver that gives any space an edgy look, the company says, while the white version is “clean and pure with a contemporary appeal”.

Bleue
Stonebook Bleue is a reproduction of the classic Kilkenny limestone quarried in Ireland. The traditional size 60x90mm, comes in the form of the two natural stone colours, black and grey, plus a white version. Terratinta describes this product as: “the perfect complement for your bathroom or kitchen!”

Monolithica
Inspired by the Middle Eastern popular limestone, Stonebook Monolithica is a premium collection of tiles. This range comes in four colours, three of which are natural shades of beige and one darker shade.

The entire Stonebook range is available in a 20mm thick version for paving, in the same size as the 10mm indoor variants. The edge and surface finish are the same as the 1cm indoor version, the company says, but the feel is slightly more slip resistant, in order to achieve the R11 and PTV>36 in wet ratings commonly requested for outdoor applications

The Terratinta Group says it’s committed to pursuing a more sustainable socio-economic model, going beyond profit and creating and redistributing value among all stakeholders. “We’ve been doing this through small actions within our own company, but have also launched multiple projects aimed at strengthening our local community. These initiatives include giving back to society through volunteer initiatives, donating products that benefit those in need, promoting recycling and using sustainably sourced materials. Through all these actions and more, we are happy to share that we are now a B-Corp certified company.”
