Spring tile trends designersare falling head over heels for

Love is in the air and the coming season will be defined by pattern, texture and refined luxury as homeowners seek to invest in design-led interiors with careful thought. From tactile surfaces to bold geometric patterns, designers are embracing tiles which balance visual impact with everyday practicality.

Some of the key trends for the new season reflect the need for expressive and long-lasting spaces and our director Richard Skeoch explains: “We’re seeing a fresh wave of creativity in how tiles are used — not just as functional surfaces but as defining style elements in every room. The spring trends this year include harmonising elegance, texture and performance, with durability in mind, enabling more adventurous design choices.”

Here are four of our key tile trends shaping interiors this spring:

1. Key materials

Marble and marble-look; think chequerboard layouts, pink pastels and off-white luxury for bathrooms and striking veining and durability for busy, glamorous kitchens.

Design tip: Honed marble in a bathroom creates a spa-style finish while marble-effect porcelain offers stain resistance and durability

Stone and stone effect; Stone tiles are hugely popular for elegant homes and limestone or limestone effect will prove particularly popular as it offers a soft palette of natural earthy colours from muted creams to beiges. Think walk-in wardrobes, luxury bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms to create your look.

Design tip: Stone-look porcelain works well in private spaces, if you’re looking for a refined, hotel-style ambience without the maintenance that natural stone will require.

2. Geometric patterns

Bold geometry is making its mark, with patterns adding plenty of personality and scale, whether you use them for floors or feature walls.

Design tip: Use these tiles in busy, key spaces such as halls for instant impact. Patterns also help to hide marks from muddy boots

3. Herringbone layout

This classic installation choice has been refreshed for the season with matt finishes and rich, jewel-like tones.

Design tip: Pick matt porcelain for durability on floors and choose a key colour to create a focal point in a living room

4. Textured surfaces

Designers are moving towards tactile surfaces with textured tiles for architectural depth and a sensory experience for the homeowner; ideal for rustic and relaxed interiors.

Design tip: Layer your look with textured tiles and natural materials such as linen and wood to add warmth and create a more inviting space to feel fully immersed in the experience
