Described as a leading Portuguese company in the ceramic wall and floor tile industry, Revigrés will be at Cersaie 2024 to introduce Reborn, a concept inspired by the “reinvention of natural materials”.
Using 3D digital printing technology, the graphics and reliefs of the collections reputedly converge perfectly to create the essence of the materials that inspire them in an ultra-realistic manner.
The result, says the company, is a range of products with very natural and realistic designs that reproduce the visual and material sensation of marble and wood, and reinterpret them with a modern eye.
The aesthetic depth of marble
The Silver Roots collection features silver and gold veins on a dark grey background, which recreate the rooted effect of natural marble, while the Grigio Damasco collection is described as a contemporary surface with natural strokes and golden flakes for a more modern finish.
Both collections are available in matt and polished finishes, in 60x60cm, 45x90cm, 90x90cm, 60x120cm and the large format 120x278cm, with 6mm thickness.
The sensory textures of wood
The ceramic wall and floor tiles with the effect of wood by Revigrés come in four collections: Pine Wood, inspired by a natural pine; Gold Oak, alluding to a warm, rich wood; Brown Oak, with a depth that reportedly results from coloured oils and soils; and Dibetou, with the effect of an intense wood with delicate veins.
The four collections are available in the formats 19.5x120cm, 19.5x180cm, 30x120cm and 30x180cm, with matt and non-slip finishes, the latter in the 19.5x120cm format.
Thanks to the high strength, unalterable appearance and durability of porcelain tiles, according to the manufacturer, these collections are compatible with sustainable construction models and solutions. Furthermore, by reproducing the effect of natural materials, they help to prevent over-exploitation of these resources.
The products also have Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), which help to improve buildings’ ratings in various international environmental certification systems, including BREEAM and LEED.
On the track of sustainability
The collections bring Revigrés one step further in its goal to continue to stand out and help to meet the goals of carbon neutrality, by promoting the circular economy, fostering the energy transition and the modernisation of the ceramics and construction industries in Portugal and Europe.
To this end, in 2024, the company will have installed a new production line with what’s described as a “wholly innovative” pressing system in Portugal, intended to launch value-added and more sustainable products – large format and different thickness – using more energy-efficient industrial equipment.
As part of the Illiance and Ecoceramics agendas with an overall investment of 15 million euros (£12.89 million) – financed by the PRR (Recovery and Resilience Plan) and NextGeneration EU Funds – the project includes: the use of renewable sources of electricity, such as solar; the incorporation of hydrogen into the production process; and the fostering of symbioses for the incorporation of waste, contributing to the circularity of the life cycle of ceramic materials.
