CODE 2: Creative combinations throughout an entire property

CODE 2, the VilboStone porcelain stoneware concept by Villeroy & Boch Tiles, is said to combine different stone looks and a wood design in a “sophisticated design concept that enables a variety of installations and individual combinations with a consistent design signature while offering planners broad creative scope”.

CODE 2 includes three selected stone looks, each in two colour schemes, based on popular natural stones. The warm shades of porfid, ceppo light and ceppo dark, as well as the cool hues of stone, rock light and rock dark, are coordinated with one another so they can be combined in different areas of a property, and particularly within a single space. This enables different atmospheres across rooms, the company says, making them harmonious and at the same time accentuated. The large formats of 60x120cm, 80x80cm and 60x60cm are designed to create impressive surfaces with few joints while exuding a lively aesthetic. As all of the stone designs also feature 30x120cm stair tiles, entrance areas and stairwells can be suitably designed as well. Also available are 7.5×7.5cm mosaics bonded to a 30cm mesh for use in floor-flush shower areas or for decoration, as well as 5x60cm strip skirting.

The concept is complemented by tiles in a wood look, featuring a format, surface texture and colour scheme modelled after expressively grained planks of wood. 20x120cm in size and optionally available in the light colour of honey and the darker shade of natural, they add additional possible combinations in a contemporary style which the company describes as “authentic and creative”.

All of these tiles are rectified. As the stone-effect tiles offer R10/A slip resistance, the large formats are particularly suited for private settings and many public applications as well. With R10 slip resistance, the tiles with the wooden look also offer a high level of traction. Thanks to its easy-care VilbostonePlus finish, Villeroy & Boch Tiles says, the porcelain stoneware is also particularly hard-wearing and easy to clean. Compared to its natural role models of natural stone and wood, ceramic is also particularly robust, resistant, light and colourfast and very durable.

With various stone looks inmatching surface finishes and colours, along with tiles in an authentic wood look, CODE 2 is designed to enable a wide range of individual layouts and combinations that can vary from one space to the next and from one area to the next, while producing a harmonious and natural overall picture. The range is therefore, recommended for prestigious private homes, upscale hotels and restaurants, industry, and for discerning spaces in surgeries, offices and law firms.
