Atlas Concorde has announced the launch of the Atlas Concorde Pack and its international patent application field, a product designed to “revolutionise” the handling of large slabs. Often, the company says, despite the great design potential of large slabs, their handling and installation is complex. The Atlas Concorde Pack is described as a solution to these challenges.
The packaging, made of cardboard, wraps and protects the slab around the entire perimeter. Equipped with three handles on each short side, it’s designed to allow installers to move slabs without the need for lifting platforms, cranes or other traditional machinery, also eliminating the need for public land occupation permits and special authorisations. It’s now possible to unload the material directly from the truck or from the truck bed in the vicinity of the installation area, the company says, even in small and narrow spaces.
In addition to offering aesthetic benefits by allowing the board to be shown in its entirety, the Atlas Concorde Pack reportedly promotes circularity. All cardboard components are made from FSC-Mix certified materials, which identifies products that support responsible forest management. Fully recyclable, the Atlas Concorde Pack is reportedly easy to dispose of thanks to the simple separation of its components.
The packaging also reduces operating costs, the company argues, by eliminating the need for expensive equipment such as hoists or cranes. Its practicality allows safe transport of the plates by just two operators.
Atlas Concorde filed an international patent application, which it says continues to demonstrate its “commitment to innovative, sustainable and practical solutions, improving operational efficiency and delivering significant economic benefits to its customers”.
The company which has been present in the large size market for years, says it continues to innovate in the field of wall and floor coverings for every environment, thanks to the “exceptional features” of its large-size slabs. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, they are said to be particularly appreciated in premium contexts for their “elegant, refined and clean” aesthetics. Large slabs are a growing trend in interior design and architectural planning. Suitable for many styles, they allow for the customisation of environments with solutions of great visual impact and sophistication.
The aesthetic and design features of Atlas Concorde large-size slabs are said to include:
Visual effect of continuity: The laying of large slabs allows the reproduction of the continuity of the vein without interruptions, widening the perception of spaces and enhancing the textures and nuances of the inspired material.
Reduction of the number of joints: In addition to the aesthetic advantage, the reduction of joints facilitates the cleaning and maintenance of spaces.
Potentially “endless” applications: Atlas Concorde offers versatile formats for different design requirements, from 120×278, 120×240, 120×120 and 160×160 ideal for wall and floor tiling, to the 160×320 of Atlas Plan, specialising in large ceramic slabs for kitchen tops, tables and furnishing elements.
Available in various thicknesses (6mm, 9mm, 12mm and 20mm), these slabs are suitable for various applications, including furniture elements, bathroom and kitchen tops, back splashes, vanity tops, worktops, tables, desks, counters, indoor floor and wall coverings and outdoor solutions such as ventilated facades.
Atlas Concorde says it continues to distinguish itself for “quality and innovation” in the field of large ceramic slabs, offering products that combine aesthetics, functionality and versatility to meet the needs of the most ambitious projects.
