Tile distributor Ceramique Internationale is continuing to build its reputation within the hotel and leisure industry with a third project for premium hospitality brand, Roomzzz Aparthotels.
The Leeds-based tile company says it’s seen significant growth in its work for the leisure and hospitality sector in the last year and is delighted to have extended its relationship with Roomzzz.
Ceramique Internationale supplied its Eco Concrete range of tiles for the bathrooms and entrance areas for both the York and Newcastle Roomzzz sites, which opened in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
Now the same range has been specified for the first Roomzzz Aparthotels site in Scotland, set to open later this year in Edinburgh.
Situated in St James Quarter, a £1bn location officially opened by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal in 2022, the 1.7 million sqft site is reportedly at the very heart of Edinburgh city centre.
The 74-bed aparthotel will feature the Eco Concrete tiles, which offer neutral colours and a soft texture and feature a high level of recycled content, giving the range excellent green credentials, Ceramique Internationale says.
The Roomzzz design team were also said to be impressed with the tile’s slip resistance, making it a good choice for the accessible wet room floors while still offering easy cleaning and maintenance.
Some of the serviced apartments will have their own balcony and the building will also offer a terrace with views over Edinburgh’s historic landscape.
Having first opened in Leeds in 2006, Roomzzz Aparthotels currently has ten sites across England.
