Verona taps into demand for small formats

Following recent retailer research which revealed a rise in popularity of small format tiles, Verona has launched the Cast collection.

With hexagonal and geometric shaped tiles continuing to steal the limelight thanks to their ability to add architectural intrigue to walls throughout the home, this collection is designed to bring a decorative element to retailer portfolios.

The “striking” ceramic tile collection features a distinctive picket-shape format in four shades including Bottle Green and Dark Blue, Charcoal and White. The tiles’ high gloss finish bounces light around the room, making it a great choice for a dark corner in an ensuite or cloakroom, the company suggests.

Available in a small 100x300mm format, Cast is a suggested to be ideal for experimenting with colour and composition. Pick one solid colour to create a strong statement style or mix the shades for an eye-catching look. The tiles can also be laid in any direction horizontally or vertically for a different finish.

Jayne Adamson, marketing manager at Verona, says: “We’ve recently discovered that small formats are top sellers for many of our retailers, with customers regularly seeking impactful designs to add interest to plain splashbacks and compact cloakrooms. There has never been a better time to upgrade your product offering and curate a varied collection of small format tiles which cater to all tastes.

“Hexagons have become an obvious choice for trend-led interiors in recent years, which goes to show that this style has longevity and is worth investing in.”

To help promote the range, handboards will be available for retailers to use in their showrooms, supplemented by inspirational roomset photography, to give customers ideas for how they can style the tiles.

Cast will also be available as part of Verona’s room visualiser, InSitu, enabling homeowners to see how the tiles look in their existing living space.
