UltraTile makes a “grand entrance”

Flex Tiling, a tiling contractor said to be known for its skilled craftsmanship and a keen eye for design, recently completed an installation of Victorian-inspired tiles at a private residence in Bristol.

Aiming to ensure the highest quality results, Flex Tiling turned to its trusted partner, UltraTile. The intricate geometric design required precision and skill to install, but Jim at Flex Tiling was up to the challenge, fixing each tile using ProFlex S2 to create a visually striking porch.

Though the tiled area was compact, the six-day project also involved removing the old screed, constructing a new sub-base, and completing a high-precision installation, all while working around the geometric layout’s exacting demands. The workability and strength of UltraTile’s ProFlex S2 adhesive made it ideal for this process, the manufacturer says.

UltraTile ProFlex S2 is a rapid-setting adhesive that is said to boast impressive flexibility and is reinforced with FibreBond technology fibres. According to the manufacturer, its enhanced adhesion and flexibility shine in challenging environments with movement or vibration.

For the finishing touch, Flex Tiling used UltraTile’s ProGrout Flexible in Grey. Available in 14 tones designed to suit all tastes, ProGrout Flexible is suitable for use with all tile types and can be washed down with minimal effort, according to the manufacturer. Designed for areas where movement and vibration is likely, ProGrout Flexible is suitable for joint widths up to 20mm, is mould-resistant, and will set in 12 hours.

On choosing UltraTile, Jim Tovey, owner of Flex Tiling, shared: “UltraTile products are consistently reliable, easy to work with, and deliver a finish that both I and the client can be proud of.”
