THE SkillBuild National Final – the ultimate stage of the UK’s largest construction skills competition and the event where the most talented trainees from across the country put their skills to the test – took place at Arena MK in Milton Keynes on 19-20 November 2025.
TTA was once again proud to sponsor and support this fantastic competition along with TTA members Building Adhesives Ltd (BAL), N&C Nicobond and Schlüter-Systems.
The top three in the Wall and Floor Tiling Category were:
– Sam Durham of ABD Ceramics
– Travis Huntley of Cardiff & Vale College
– Joseph Burgess of Cardiff & Vale College
Many congratulations to them and to all the finalists in this year’s Skillbuild.
Visitors at the event also had the opportunity to experience what working in construction is really like with SkillBuild’s Construction Showcase. David Westwood hosted a ‘have a go’ demonstration stand on behalf of TTA, helping to educate prospective trainees and apprentices on the benefits of a tiling career.
