Stonepeak Ceramics to invest $70 million in Tennessee expansion

February 2019

Stonepeak Ceramics is set to invest $70 million to expand operations and open a new production line at its Crossville, Tennessee facility.  This investment will see the porcelain tile manufacturer add approximately 160 full-time jobs at the facility over the next five years.  The project will also increase the factory’s capacity by 20%. Once complete, Stonepeak Ceramics claims it will be the first USA-based tile manufacturer to produce large size porcelain panels.

Equipped with the latest technology, the line will produce tiles ranging from 6mm to 20mm in thickness, ranging from 1,200 by 600mm to 300 by 300mm.

“The opening of the new production line represents an important investment for our company.  It is part of the strategic decision we made to mature as a global product supplier in this rapidly growing market segment,” said Federica Minozzi, CEO of Iris Ceramica Group.  “By offering large size panels, made in the USA, we will shorten delivery times and simplify all of our logistics while reducing the environmental impact.”

The domestic porcelain tile manufacturer serves locations across the USA.  A subsidiary of the Italian Iris Ceramica group, Stonepeak Ceramics is one of the leading porcelain tile manufacturers in the USA.
