Supersize living spaces with Verona’s new Grande porcelain tile collection

August 2021

With supersizing a trend still very much in demand, leading tile distributor Verona has captured the essence of this popular design movement, launching its new Grande collection.

Highly versatile, the new Grande collection takes surfaces to a whole new level, expertly combining natural stone effects veining with a supersized high-quality glazed porcelain for an open plan look and feel across floors.  Perfectly suited to any room from the kitchen to bathroom, hallway to conservatory, the Grande collection brings a sense of balance and proportion, opening up spaces with ease for floors that flow from one room to the next.

Made from premium Italian porcelain, the beauty of these tiles not only lies in their striking design details and finish, but thanks to their oversized format grout lines are reduced for a high-end look that allows consumers to experiment with proportion and scale.  Incredibly hard-wearing withstanding everyday wear and tear, the tiles only require a light clean to keep them looking their best.

“Supersizing in interiors is very much of the moment, and gives homeowners the opportunity to create a feature that holds the whole room together,” says Katy Black, Marketing Director.  “Oversized tiles offer less grout lines, creating the illusion of space even in small rooms.  For a light and airy design we suggest soft beige or silver shades to bounce the light up from the floor, or for homeowners looking to connect indoor and outdoor spaces, a graphite concrete-effect will cover footprints and dirt for a practical option.”

The Grande collection offers eight different designs in a range of natural finishes and colour options.  Three of the designs also include coordinating outdoor tiles, effortlessly connecting the indoors with the out.
Vienna Blanco features a decadent marble-effect pattern, teamed with a polished finish for a high-end look, in a 900 by 900 by 10.5mm format.

Frontera features a lappato, semi-polished finish.  This tile is available in Graphite and Silver, making it well suited to those who enjoy the modern grey look.  It is available in 900 by 900 by 10.5mm format.
Allegra Pearl (pictured) features a high shine polished finish, exuding designer appeal.  Another subtle marble-effect, this tile combines pearlescent details with a soft ivory colour palette.  It is available in 900 by 900 by 10.5mm format.

Loft now boasts four stunning colourways, welcoming Taupe and Dark Grey alongside the existing White and Ash tones.  Loft features a soft stone-effect with slightly oxidised edges.  It is available as 900 by 900 by 9mm indoor tiles; while Taupe, Dark Gre,y and Ash come in 898 by 898 by 20mm outdoor formats.

The Loft range has also been designed for use outdoors to continue the look into the garden.  The Loft designs are available as 20mm thick outdoor porcelain tiles, perfect for consumers with bifold doors and want to connect indoor and outdoor living spaces.  For extra safety underfoot, the 20mm Loft tiles have a slip rating of R11 making it one of the most practical choices for patios and paths.
