The Terratinta Group has opened its futuristic new headquarters in Fiorano Modenese. It covers around 45,000 sq. metres: 2,000 of which are dedicated to showrooms and offices.
“Since the company was founded in 2008, our Group has wanted its own permanent home. Now, in the heartland of Made in Italy ceramics, we are proud to have restored an historic building with many innovative and original features,”.says Terratinta Group CEO, Luca Migliorini. “We are happy with the work accomplished, but we are already thinking about developments in the upcoming months, such as the photovoltaic system that will make us self-sufficient from an energy point of view, up to the complete renovation of the lighting systems of the warehouse. We have dreamed of, and want, an environment that can best accommodate the people who work there, and convey our values to those who visit us.”
The plan was to refurbish an industrial building from the last century, making it stand out from others by finding a new configuration for the various spaces, combining indoor and outdoor. Featuring expanded metal cladding, and a new access platform, the choice of materials and finishes underlines the Group’s green, dynamic, and refined character. The use of fir wood for furniture and finishes, and the choice of natural and recyclable materials, also stand out.
The project was designed by EB Studio, which has long association with the Terratinta Group. The spacious new showroom is a true exhibition structure that highlights the Group’s products and various brands.
The internal configuration offers maximum accessibility and places the emphasis on interpersonal relations to encourage teamwork. The new shared facilities not only include workspaces, but also spaces for relaxing and well-being: such as a kitchen, gym, relaxation area (winter garden), children’s area, and much more.
