Mapei is set to launch its new Mapei Color range, designed for perfect surface colour matching. The range brings together sixteen Profilpas Cerfix Proangle L-profiles, which are colour-matched to Mapei Ultracolor Plus grouts and Mapesil AC silicone sealants. The three elements can be used to create a “seamless” tone-on-tone or contrasting surface finish in wall and floor tile installations. Mapei Color will be officially launched in the UK during Clerkenwell Design Week (20-22 May) – at Mapei World London City specification centre – and will feature in the inaugural CDW Product Awards.
Available in eight warm and eight cool colours, Mapei Color’s Cerfix Proangle profiles are designed to faithfully reproduce the colour and texture of Ultracolor Plus cementitious grout – sharing the same product names and codes for easy specification. They’re also colour-matched to Mapesil AC pure acetic silicone sealants.
Suitable for protecting tile corners and preventing the need to carry out 45° corner cuts, the profiles can be used to close external corners of ceramic wall coverings and to join floor coverings of the same level. They can also be used to finish and protect the edges of steps, platforms and worktops. Cerfix Proangle profiles are 8, 10, 11 and 12.5mm in height and are all 2.7m in length. Special pieces are also available for outside corners, inside corners and end caps.
Mapei’s flagship Ultracolor Plus grout is described by the company as a fast setting and drying flexible polymer modified grout designed to provide easy application, abrasion resistance, high colour stability and very low water absorption. It features anti-efflorescence, water-repellent DropEffect and mould-resistant BioBlock technology and is also part of Mapei’s Zero Line, with CO2 fully offset in the entire life cycle.* Ultracolor Plus grout and Mapesil AC pure acetic silicone sealant each also benefit from very low VOC EMICODE: EC1 Plus certified formulations.
CO2 fully offset products
Ultracolor Plus grout is part of the CO2 Fully Offset in the Entire Life Cycle. CO2 emissions measured throughout the life cycle of products from the Zero line in 2025 using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology, verified and certified with EPDs, have been offset through the acquisition of certified carbon credits in support of forestry protection projects. A commitment to the planet, to people and to biodiversity.
