Gökçe Ötkün, head of sustainability at VitrA Global, and Nicola Friel, showroom manager at VitrA London, have produced a learning module for e-learning platform School of Specification (SOS) on specifying inclusive and sustainable bathrooms, says the company.
Designed to give architects and construction industry professionals the information they need to make informed and intelligent design and specification decisions, SOS’s aim is to foster shared learning and to support the industry in its mission to deliver buildings that are resilient, sustainable and safe, says VitrA.
It adds: “VitrA’s new learning module introduces inclusive and sustainable bathroom design, outlining how to plan and specify for users of all ages, abilities, and living arrangements. It also covers sustainable design principles, including lifecycle assessments (LCA), manufacturing practices, and end-of-life management strategies.”
