UK distributors tour Spanish factories

A group of UK distributors visits the industry to get to know first-hand the latest developments, innovation and the commitment of the sector with sustainability, says Tile of Spain.

On Thursday 19 June, at the ASCER offices, a presentation on the UK market was held by the TTA (The Tile Association). The Chamber of Commerce of Castellon, with the support and co-financing of the FEDER funds and the IVACE+i, and the collaboration of ASCER, the distributors’ visit to Spain was catered to 15 professionals interested in knowing more about new releases, the manufacturing process, and investments in sustainability in the Spanish ceramic tile sector. The visit ran from 17- 19 June, where there was a talk on the UK market and was celebrated at the ASCER offices.

This activity has been jointly developed with the collaboration of TTA, which represents the ceramic sector in the UK and has a continuous collaboration strategy with ASCER, says the company. The group of professionals visited several showrooms and production plants of Spanish manufacturing companies over three days, which allowed them to discover the versatility of the Spanish ceramic tiles as well as the last progresses in terms of sustainability, innovation and design. Closing the program on the 19th, the TTA gave a presentation at the ASCER offices, introducing a global vision of the UK market, trends and evolution of the construction sector.

Tile of Spain says: “This is the fourth edition of this visit of the UK distribution professionals to the industry. The UK market imported €191.8 million of Spanish ceramic tiles in 2024, holding the third spot in the ranking of Tile of Spain exports. This event had the support of the Council of Treasury, Economy and Public Administration of the Valencian Region.”
