Organisers of the upcoming Stone Show & Hard Surfaces event have announced the themes for sessions that will take place in the Stone Show Seminar Theatre as part of this year’s show.
Taking place from 7-9 May at Excel, London, the seminar programme features nine sessions over three days, and is aimed to provide insights into the key developments that will affect the stone industry over the next decade, with speakers and panels addressing decarbonisation, sustainable design, digitalisation and more.
Day one (Wednesday 7 May) sessions include “Natural Stone: The Low Carbon Construction Solution” along with presentations from the architects behind several of the winning projects at the 2024 Natural Stone Awards.
Day two (Thursday 8 May) will feature presentations covering the latest changes to British Standards and what they mean for sustainability, as well as a session inspired by the growing momentum around structural stone applications.
Finally, day three (Friday 9 May) will include sessions on the UK’s “forgotten stones” as well as the presentation for this year’s Emerging Talent Award, which will also “explore what the industry is doing to invest in the next generation”.
