SkillBuild National Final 2025

The SkillBuild National Final has been announced for 19-20 November, taking place at Arena MK in Milton Keynes. Described by organisers as the ultimate stage of the UK’s largest construction skills competition – the finals are where the most talented trainees from across the country put their skills to the test, and will see the top scorers from this year’s Regional Qualifiers compete in their chosen trades, from bricklaying and carpentry to painting and decorating, plastering, stonemasonry and more.

This year’s finalists in the wall and floor tiling category are:
Ryan Holt – Preston College
Sam Durham – Preston College
Harvey Greaves – Leeds College of Building
Nicholas Bennison – Royal Engineers
Travis Huntley – Cardiff and Vale College
Alex Ainley – Cardiff and Vale College
Alan Holubowicz – Southern Regional College
Joseph Burgess – Cardiff and Vale College

The event’s organisers say: “Expect two days of high-level competition, live skill demonstrations and the chance to see the future of construction in action. Whether you’re a supporter, employer, educator, or just curious about careers in construction, the National Final is a fantastic opportunity to be inspired and get involved. Visiting the National Final is completely free and open to everyone. You can also experience what working in construction is really like with our Construction Showcase, which features skill-based challenges, interactive activities, hands-on demonstrations and much more.”
