Cosentino’s board of directors has appointed Pilar Cosentino as the company’s new CEO as part of the succession plan. This appointment, which will be effective from April 14, is part of a strategy plan designed to guarantee an “orderly generational change”. Francisco Martínez-Cosentino (73 years old), currently chairman and CEO, will continue serving as chairman of the company, thus consolidating a governance model that establishes a separation between the functions of chairman and CEO, says the company, combining experience and youth.
Since joining Cosentino more than 20 years ago, Pilar has played a key role in the company transformation. Throughout her career at Cosentino, she has led the strategy, talent management, digital transformation, and IT areas.
Additionally, the company strengthens its internationalisation and business focus with the appointment of Eduardo Cosentino (42 years old) as the sole executive vice president (EVP). Eduardo assumes the areas of marketing & digital business, expansion and pricing as part of his global business responsibilities, in addition to continuing serving as CEO of Cosentino Americas. Álvaro de la Haza becomes chief corporate officer, reporting to the chairman, a role that he will combine with the family office management.
In addition to these changes, Cosentino is taking a further step in its governance with the creation of a management committee that will act as a coordinating body for management, supporting the CEO executive functions.
