ATLAS Concorde announces a new phase in its wide ranging industrial development plan, which will involve its Italian production sites in Finale Emilia and Fiorano Modenese, further strengthening the company’s leadership in the ceramic surfaces sector, says the company.
At the Finale Emilia plant, the doubling of porcelain stoneware slab production capacity will be completed by the end of 2025. This expansion will be followed in 2026 by a new logistics warehouse integrated with the plant, covering an area of 19,000 sq m. The structure will be covered by a latest-generation photovoltaic system, consisting of approximately 5,400 panels, which will reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 1,400 tonnes per year, confirming the company’s commitment to a more sustainable future, says the company.
At the same time, in Fiorano Modenese, opposite the company headquarters, a new logistics hub dedicated to porcelain stoneware slabs will take shape. With a total area of approximately 100,000 sq m, the hub will include a highly automated and digitised logistics warehouse, one of the most advanced in the sector, designed to support the already announced doubling of production capacity, says Atlas Concorde.
With these investments, Atlas Concorde’s total investment in the slab sector will reach €100m. Adding the modernisation programmes for the tile production lines, the company’s total investment over the last four years will exceed €170m.
‘In a context of great uncertainty and unpredictability, Atlas Concorde is looking to the future. Through this development plan, it confirms its long-term vision and its desire to position itself as a strategic, stable and reliable partner,’ said Maurizio Mazzotti, CEO of Atlas Concorde.
