During the international press conference held to mark Cevisama, the prizes and diplomas were presented for the 23rd edition of the Tile of Spain Awards for Architecture and Interior Design. The winners were decided at the meeting held last November at ASCER’s headquarters, which was attended by the following panel of judges: Rafael de La-Hoz (president), José González Gallegos (Aranguren+Gallegos), Jonathan Arnabat and Jordi Ayala-Bril (Arquitectura G), executive editor of the journal Arquitectura y Diseños, David Quesada, and Susana Babiloni (Castellón Architects’ Association).
The Tile of Spain Awards are sponsored by the Valencia Port Authority, Torrecid and PwC España with the backing of the Generalitat Valenciana’s Regional Ministry of the Treasury and the Economy, as part of the agreement signed with ASCER. The object of the Tile of Spain Awards is said by the company to promote the use of Spanish ceramic tiles in architecture and interior design projects in Spain and beyond its borders. The Tile of Spain Awards are said to be held in high esteem by professionals working in the field of architecture. The awards have a cash prize of €15,000 for each of the winners in the architecture and interior design categories, as well as €5,000 in the Master’s dissertation category for architecture students.
