AS a global brand for over 30 years, Genesis Global Systems says it has the range and experience to provide the solutions you need: ‘Our innovating provisions ensure we can complement the latest trends in the global ceramic and flooring markets.’
In addition to finishing profiles, the company offers an expanding range, including its movement joints and TrakMat entrance matting. According to the company, innovation and industry feedback has strengthened the design and range of products available for every need.
Genesis’ national team is said to support this range with technical knowledge and measurement services ensuring standard products and bespoke productions provide the ‘perfect’ finish.
Tile edging
Long gone are the days of bull-nosed tiles or simply installing white PVC profiles, says Genesis. Clients want more, and to be made aware of the options available. Genesis offers an expansive range to ensure contractors are not only able to address client requirements but also offer them new possibilities, says the company.
PVC profiles remain a simple, lightweight, and cost-effective option but are now joined by metal profiles, which have become the most desirable choice. Aluminium, stainless steel and brass profiles provide a more durable, timeless appearance which complement modern installations. There’s no need to cut corners anymore, the company says, as corner pieces for most of the range save the work of mitring and deliver a ‘perfect’ finish.
The company’s offering doesn’t stop at the standard profile range, as all aluminium and stainless-steel profiles are available with custom powder coating. Additionally, where customers can provide a standard RAL number or a sample of the surface to match, Genesis will provide a colour matched profile.
The company’s range of ceramic finishing profiles is said by Genesis to be the most comprehensive available: aluminium, stainless steel, brass and PVC in round, square, angled and straight designs.
Movement joints
Protect against the natural displacement of hard flooring in areas over 10sq m with movement joints that accommodate for the expansion and contraction that occurs over time preventing damages and costly repairs.
With options from 8-22.5mm, available in PVC, aluminium or stainless steel using polyurethane or santoprene infill, the company says there’s a joint suitable for your project.
Exceeding the requirements laid out under BS 5385 and TTA recommendations, Genesis’ joints have a movement capacity of up to 30%, and are suited for use with slate, natural stone and ceramic surfaces, while also being considerate of the stresses of underfloor heating, says the company.
It adds: ‘If customers require any support in consideration of the environment over what type of joint is required or the positioning, the company’s regional sales managers can provide guidance and visit the site to give their recommendation for the most suitable option.’
Vision
Vision offers a range of premium profiles for commercial and domestic applications, designed to ‘protect and inspire with variable mood accents’. Genesis says its range is specifically designed to accept universal LED systems and RGB for steps, listello, edges and skirting offering ‘unlimited freedom of design’.
Developed with simplicity in mind, the range of supporting hardware offers the most frequently installed systems with polycarbonate diffusers that eliminates hotspots, says the company. The Vision system can be operated via a standard remote, or alternatively, programmed to speak with smart technology thus interacted with using speech or mobile devices.
Entrance matting
The Genesis Trakmat System has recently been expanded to encompass tile, rollable, interlocking and fixed designs, the range includes a choice of open and closed construction and options for internal and external applications, says Genesis.
Found in independent projects and large-scale commercial developments around the globe, the versatile Trakmat range offers solutions to varied traffic environments and can be specified with confidence, says the company.
It adds: ‘There’s a selection of insert options across the range – fluted rubber, available in black, is a recommended surface for external use, for primary coarse dirt retention. Loop pile carpet, available in anthracite, grey, red and natural, is available for internal and external application, used to clean and absorb residual moisture and dirt’. ‘The Trakmat System is accompanied by a range of aluminium matting accessories: reducers, ramps and edging trim, which are simple to install and provide the perfect finish’, concludes the company.
